Jack’s Prime

Jack’s Prime | 3723 S El Camino Real, San Mateo, CA 94403 | 650.638.1479

Dinner with the guys can be an ordeal since everybody wants something different. One thing that we can all agree about is that burgers are always on the menu. We cruised down El Camino and spotted Jack’s Prime and agreed it would be the perfect place for dinner. They were super busy (a good sign) and we figured it was worth the wait.

The three of us decided to get different burgers and share them all. Our assortment included the Ultimate Bacon, Wine Country, and the Big Jack, and they were all excellent, using high quality meat. I ordered mine rare (it came more medium rare), but I was excited and impressed that they were able to make it that rare to begin with. My favorite was probably the Big Jack since it had double patties, cheese, and bacon. However, I really enjoyed them all, and the fries were great too. I don’t think they were home cut though.

Prices were reasonable for a joint like this. Service was really great and our waitress was super friendly. She even brought us a few delicious dipping sauces for our fries too, though next time I’ll smother them on my burger instead. There will definitely be a next time though and I really enjoyed the experience.
