as it turns out the spambots are worse on phpbb3... i should have transfered the board to vanilla instead.

i just made some slight tweaks. hopefully they reduce the amount of spam being posted, but otherwise i'll have to look for more intelligence tasks for bots to do.

doesn't help much. this software platform is notoriously porous when it comes to spammers. the only way to curb them would be to approve everybody who applied as a member. i don't have time for that shht. :P

in terms of cash, [black hat] seo pays to the spammers but not necessarily for the client (at least not in the long term).
